Narrative structure is the story and the plot of something like a superhero movie or comic. An example of this is when someone like superman finds a villain then seeks to defeat them. The narrative theory is whether the thing is fictional and what media it appears in like superman is fictional and appears in comics and movies.
Claude Levi-Strauss researched the idea of binary opposites which are things that are directly opposite from each other like hot and cold. this can be applied to superheroes because heroes like superman are the binary opposites of villains like Doomsday.
Another binary opposite is Shazam and Black Adam. Black Adam uses the same power as Shazam but he uses it for evil.
